Even before S7 but after S1, Barbas learned how to Astral Project in S5E7 "Sympathy for the Demon" by a fellow demon in purgatory with him. In that same episode, Phoebe uses a spell in the BoS to Astral Project herself to Barbas and lure him back to the Manor. I don't get bonus points for it having the original theme song 😖. BUT, Hulu IMO has much better content. Netflix has jumped the shark for me.
